A month ago, we launched the second cohort of free training for veterans at J.O.T Solutions. Today, we can already talk about the first results — and they are truly encouraging.
The first stage of the training program is almost complete. Participants have been learning AutoCAD across several engineering disciplines, working on practical assignments, and gradually becoming familiar with the logic and workflow of real-world project work.
And there is a new stage ahead: Revit, new challenges, and the opportunity to choose a professional direction for further career development.
From AutoCAD to Real-World Engineering
For us, it is important that training does not become simply a process of learning AutoCAD or Revit commands.
That is why the program is built around practical experience. Participants work on assignments based on real-world projects, learn how to interpret project data, understand drawing structures, and gradually become familiar with professional engineering workflows.
During the first month, veterans worked with AutoCAD in architectural, HVAC & Plumbing, and façade engineering disciplines.
And we can already see the most important result: participants are not simply repeating the instructor’s actions. They are beginning to understand the logic behind engineering work.
Learning from Practicing Professionals
Online sessions with J.O.T Solutions specialists take place twice a week via Zoom.
These are live sessions where participants can ask questions, work through challenging tasks, discuss mistakes, and understand how a particular solution is applied in a real-world project.
Our engineers share their own experience working on international projects and aim to provide not only technical knowledge, but also a deeper understanding of the profession.
This kind of interaction helps participants move from theory to practice more quickly and gain new skills and valuable experience that they can use in their future careers.

The Next Stage — Revit
A major new step is ahead.
After completing the AutoCAD stage, participants will move on to Revit and will be divided into two groups according to their chosen professional direction.
One group will focus on HVAC & Plumbing, while the other will focus on façade design and aluminum structures.
Each participant will be able to choose the direction that best matches their experience, interests, and future professional goals.
For some, this will be a return to the profession. For others, it will be an opportunity to develop a new specialization. And for others, it will be a chance to complement their existing technical experience with modern BIM/CAD tools.
A Charitable Initiative That Continues
For J.O.T Solutions, this is already the second charitable initiative focused on training veterans.
And for us, it is important not simply to provide access to a course, but to make the entire process as useful and comfortable as possible.
We aim to support participants at every stage, provide enough hands-on practice, create opportunities to communicate with specialists, and give them the chance to receive answers to their professional questions.
That is why the most important result for us is not the number of completed lessons.
It is the moment when a person opens a new assignment and already understands where to start. When a complex topic becomes easier to understand. When confidence appears: “I can do this.”
